“Hating is free. That’s why broke people do it so well.”
Let’s be honest… property investors get a lot of hate.

We’re called greedy.
We’re blamed for house prices.
We’re told we’re taking from others.

But here’s a genuine question.

Is building wealth through property wrong… Or is it simply misunderstood?

Most investors I know aren’t villains.
They’re everyday people who worked hard, saved deposits, took risks, renovated tired homes, improved neighbourhoods, and provided warm places for families to live.

They deal with banks, tenants, maintenance, interest rate changes, regulations, and uncertainty.

That’s not greed. That’s responsibility.

Now, of course, there are bad players in every industry. But painting all property investors with one brush doesn’t help anyone.

So I’m curious.

The Mortgage Trap Nobody Explains

Here’s the part about paying off your mortgage that no one explains. If you earn around $90,000 a year, your marginal tax rate is about 33%. That means for every $1 you use to repay your mortgage… You actually had to earn close to $1.49 before tax.
Now stretch that over 25–30 years. Most people don’t just repay the bank — they quietly lose hundreds of thousands more through tax along the way.

And the biggest mistake?

Trying to repay a home loan faster by draining their income.
