Saskatchewan-based Information Services Corporation (ISC) has agreed to be acquired by Plenary Americas (Canadian Based Company) in an all-cash transaction valued at approximately $1.2 billion ($51.00 per share).

The Government of Saskatchewan, which held a 29% stake through the Crown Investments Corporation, endorsed the sale.

To protect local interests, the province passed the Information Services Corporation Amendment Act 2026 prior to the announcement.

Under these legal protections, the province retains a Golden Share that guarantees:

Headquarters:
ISC must remain headquartered in Regina, Saskatchewan.

Local Jobs:
Core public service operations and associated employment positions must be preserved within the province.

Data & Registries:
The province's land titles, business filings, and corporate registries will still be managed securely by ISC under unchanged data protection practices and set fees.

Board Seats:
The provincial government retains the right to appoint two directors to the board.
