The market has been on quite a roller coaster ride this month. Much of the movement continues to be tied to global events and oil prices. When oil prices rise, rates tend to follow. When oil prices fall, rates often move lower as well. Staying informed and prepared is more important than ever in today's market.

On a brighter note, we're looking for volunteers to help make a difference in our community! We have opportunities available with Children's Hospital Bingo and will also be supporting the Special Olympics this year. Both are rewarding experiences, and we'd love to have you join us. Also, a reminder that real estate doesn't stop for weekends or holidays, and neither do we. Over the past couple of weeks, I've helped clients secure pre-approvals during weekends and even on holidays. Spring is in full swing—whether we like it or not—which means it’s the perfect time for a little spring cleaning 🧹

While you’re organizing at home, it’s also a great opportunity to take a fresh look at your finances. A simple review can go a long way in making sure everything is working in your favor.

On the market side, a lot right now is being driven by oil prices and the situation with Iran. Watching oil trends can give helpful insight into where interest rates may be heading. For now, we may continue to see higher rates until things settle—but that could also open up new opportunities down the road.

I also get a lot of questions about combining loans. A weighted average interest rate can help determine if that move actually makes sense by showing the true blended rate of multiple loans.
