If you got frustrated with the home search this summer and decided to take a break, I wouldn’t blame you.

But I also wouldn’t assume everything looks exactly the same now.

Housing markets can shift as we move out of the busy summer season, and what that looks like depends a lot on where you’re buying. Maybe there’s less competition. Maybe you have a little more time to make decisions. Maybe the homes you’ve been watching are still sitting there.

None of that means you should buy right now. But if you still want to, it might be worth taking another look before assuming the answer is still “not yet.”

I’m happy to help you revisit the financing side, and your agent can give you the latest on what they’re seeing locally.

To all the people out there putting in the work every day, this one’s for you.

Whatever you do and whatever your days look like, I hope you know your hard work is seen and appreciated. And since Labor Day comes with a long weekend, I hope you get some time to enjoy that, too.

Happy Labor Day!

Good food, good friends, and a little friendly rivalry... tailgate season is officially here.

But let’s get to the real competition: the food.

What’s the one thing that HAS to be on the table at a tailgate? Wings? Chili? BBQ? Something else entirely?

Let’s hear it. 👇

Mortgage rates moved higher as bond yields rose, while Fed officials emphasized patience and careful attention to incoming inflation data. Meanwhile, new-home sales slowed, but broader price measures continued to show modest annual gains. For buyers, homeowners, and referral partners, this is a week to focus on preparation, realistic numbers, and trusted guidance rather than short-term predictions.

What questions are you hearing most often about today’s market?

There’s a lot to celebrate during Hispanic Heritage Month, from the traditions passed down through families to the food, music, art, and stories shared across generations.

Here’s to celebrating Hispanic and Latino cultures and the people who keep those traditions going and make them their own.

Happy Hispanic Heritage Month!

I’ve talked with plenty of buyers who know exactly what price range they want to shop in, but haven’t really thought about what they want their monthly housing payment to be.

I’d rather start there.

Tell me what you’d feel comfortable paying each month, and then we can look at the numbers together and figure out what that could mean for your home search.

Because qualifying for a certain amount doesn’t mean you have to spend it.

If you’re not sure what that number looks like for you, call, text, or email me. We’ll figure it out together.

It takes a lot of people working together to make a closing happen.

As a Loan Officer, I get to see firsthand just how many people work behind the scenes to help a borrower get to the closing table. Processors, underwriters, closers, loan officer assistants, operations and support teams, loan officers... there are so many people bringing their knowledge, care, and hard work to the process every day.

I’m especially thankful for my loan officer assistant (Rebecca) and processor (Iva), who are there beside me every step of the way. Their attention to detail, dedication, and willingness to jump in and help make a huge difference for our borrowers and our partners.

This Mortgage Professional Month, I’m giving a big THANK YOU to the incredible team I get to work with every day. I couldn’t do what I do without you.

There’s no better compliment than hearing from an agent that you’ve provided great service and support throughout the process for their client.

My goal is always to be helpful, available, and willing to go the extra mile—especially when there are questions along the way. Whether it’s helping with a loan scenario, explaining the process, or simply being a resource for agents, I’m here to help make their job a little easier.

Thank you for trusting me, allowing me to be a resource, and for the five star review!

Mortgage rates stayed within a narrow range this week, while persistent inflation and softer housing activity kept the market in a careful balancing act. Buyers may find more negotiating room in some areas, and homeowners continue to benefit from the long-term value of gradually building equity. The key is understanding your local market and making decisions based on your goals, not short-term headlines.
