Last week CHFA toured Crane's Landing with staff members in Senator Bennet's office. Opening soon, Crane's Landing will include 190 new affordable apartments and a co-located health care clinic. The 21st Century ROAD to Housing Act, which became law in July, is a significant piece of federal housing legislation intended to increase housing supply and improve affordability. Thomas Bryan, CHFA Executive Director and CEO, was honored to join a panel discussion today about the new law, put on by the University of Denver Center for Housing Research and Innovative Solutions (CHRIS). The conversation with state, local, and national housing leaders looked at what the new law could mean for the cost of housing in Colorado and what other states can learn from the work already happening in Colorado.

Yesterday, CHFA had the privilege of taking part in a grand opening celebration for Artspace Colorado Springs, a mixed-use development that includes 51 affordable apartments. CHFA supported the development with federal Housing Tax Credits as well as financing. Congratulations to Artspace Projects, Inc. and the many partners involved!

Chfareach offers more than 120 live classes each year, alongside over 200 on-demand classes.

“Having the certificate programs has provided a credential that many of our staff have been able to obtain,” said chfareach member Brendalee Connors, Chief Real Estate Officer, Metro West Housing Solutions. “The people who have done so are the leaders in our organization, many of them having grown as a result of that training.”

Earlier this week, CHFA joined MGL Partners and other development partners for the Iliff Terrace ribbon cutting celebration in Denver. The development includes 50 new affordable apartments for adults aged 62 and over. CHFA supported Iliff Terrace with an award of state and federal Housing Tax Credits. Congratulations to all involved!
