🚨 The 3% mortgage is dead, and it's not coming back. 🚨

We had 15 years of basically free money, 3% mortgages, and a Fed that was essentially handing out financial candy to anyone with a pulse.

And now? Gone. P**f. Bye-bye.

The $31 trillion Treasury market is saying, "Yeah, those 3% mortgages were a moment. We're not doing that again."

Yes, it sucks. We're now forced to afford a home at 6-7% interest on prices that tripled during the pandemic. It's challenging.

But here's another issue: many people who locked in those sweet 3% rates say they're not selling. Ever. Why would they?

So inventory will stay fairly low, prices will stay fairly high, and new buyers will continue to get squeezed.

We built an entire generation's wealth on artificially cheap money, pulled up the ladder, and now we act surprised when many can't afford a house.

But here's the good news: as wages increase—and they will—homes will become more affordable, and that will help. However, the era of cheap mortgages is over.
