There are many reasons to be optimistic about ’s venture capital space. When asked about the current state of Colorado VC activity Denver Angels CEO David Prichard said: “What we’re seeing…is really more of a return to about where 2018-2019 was. That being said, the difference is I don’t think we have less company activity. … If it were as simple as we just returned back to 2019, it probably wouldn't be that big of a deal."

Prichard added that the increase in VC-backed companies (having doubled in the US since 2016 to 50,000 companies), combined with market conditions and VC firm selectivity, creates a lot of need and opportunity. This is the most investor-friendly environment in the Seed to Growth Stage that we've seen in the past decade.
