Clocks went back yesterday. It's dark by 5 (ugh), and the holidays are closer than they look.

If you want to close before the end of the year, time is of the essence.

Most purchases take 30 to 45 days from accepted offer to keys, and fewer people are working around Thanksgiving and Christmas. An offer accepted by mid-November has a comfortable path to a December closing. One accepted in mid-December is racing the calendar.

Nobody should feel pressured to lock a rate. If you find yourself in that position, consider it a red flag that your lender is trying to rush your decision.

Never lock a rate until you have taken the time to shop your lender. Rates can and do differ from lender to lender. It behooves you to invest the time now and make sure you are getting the best possible. At A2Z Home Loans we make sure that you don't pay too much for your mortgage.
