🏡 TIP OF THE WEEK: The asking price isn’t the only number you can negotiate.

With more homes available and fewer buyers competing in many markets, today’s buyer may have opportunities to request:
✅ Seller-paid closing costs
✅ Funds for a temporary or permanent rate buydown
✅ Repair credits after the inspection
✅ Help with prepaid taxes and insurance
✅ A lower purchase price

Here’s the key: A price reduction may build long-term equity, while a rate buydown or closing-cost credit could provide more immediate financial relief. The best option depends on your loan, budget and plans for the home.

Before submitting an offer, ask your lender and real estate agent to compare the numbers. A thoughtfully structured offer could be more valuable than simply offering less.

Every market - and every transaction - is different. Let’s run the scenarios before you negotiate.
