For Andrew, financial advice is more than policies and paperwork, it’s about people, families, and futures. As the founder of Hencoz Financial Services, Andrew has built a business dedicated to protecting clients with tailored insurance and retirement solutions, while keeping trust, integrity, and family values at its core.
Andrew’s career in financial services spans more than two decades. Starting in South Africa, he rose through the ranks of a major medical insurance company, eventually managing underwriting and working closely with advisers to craft solutions that met real-life client needs. In 2020, he and his family made New Zealand their new home, where he continued advising, mentoring, and serving clients with the same passion and expertise.
When the time came to start his own business, Andrew knew exactly what he wanted Hencoz to stand for: clear, caring, client-first advice.
“Insurance isn’t just about money, it’s about peace of mind. My role is to listen, understand, and build cover that truly fits a client’s life,” Andrew says.

Giving back is just as important as business growth. Andrew and his wife are proud sponsors of Birkenhead United Football Club and the Birkenhead RSA Darts Club, and they regularly serve meals at their church’s community kitchen, helping those in need.
Looking to the future, Andrew’s vision for Hencoz is steady growth, bringing on new advisers, adding services and continuing to deliver the kind of trusted, personal advice that clients can rely on for life.
