You don't need a 20% deposit to buy your first home in New Zealand.

With a 20% deposit you can access the special rates. But there are ways in with less:

Banks have strict income verification requirements - typically two years of financial statements and tax returns. For sole traders and business owners, that can feel like a dead end.
