We're a passionate and award-winning community-owned bank with a volunteer Board who prioritise members over profit. Covering Scotland's North East, Central, East and Borders regions, we help people by getting them into the habit of saving or accessing affordable loans. When you join CCU you become a member, not a customer. Your membership gives you a vote in how things are done and any profits are invested straight back into the Credit Union to keep interest rates on loans and savings competitive. We're the largest credit union in the East of Scotland with over 31,000 members. Membership is open to anyone living or working in Moray, Aberdeenshire, Aberdeen, Angus, Dundee, Perth & Kinross, Fife, Clackmannanshire, Stirling, Falkirk, West Lothian, Edinburgh, East Lothian, Midlothian and Scottish Borders. CCU encourages financial inclusion by providing banking facilities and credit to people that may have been refused elsewhere. Our aim is to encourage people to be responsible lenders and also kick start a saving mentality to allow our members to take control of their finances.
