Poor old Commonwealth Bank. I've now worked out how they continue to make such massive profits. Logging onto my 93 year old mother-in-law's account today, I saw a $0.07 debit, processed on March 1st, being an adjustment to the minute interest they paid on her savings for the 6 months to 31 Dec 2023. How desperate must a company be to take back 7 cents? How much would it have cost to process that entry? Mindless drones.

Support for victims of identity crimes

Scammers and cyber criminals sometimes steal personal information through real estate and rental transactions, including through fake rental advertisements or fraudulent rental bond portals.

If you or a client has become a victim of identity crime there is now a single point-of-contact for information and support with the launch of the NSW Government’s nation-leading identity support unit, ID Support NSW.

Anyone that has personal information or government credentials compromised can contact ID Support NSW to get free advice and guidance on how to deal with compromised documents, learn how to keep information safe and get access to additional support such as counselling services.

This initiative is delivered in partnership with Births, Deaths and Marriages, Service NSW, Transport for NSW and NSW Police.

You can report identity misuse or theft on the ID Support NSW website, or by calling ID Support NSW on 1800 001 040, Monday to Friday.
