ConnexCares is proud to support local organizations helping our communities grow stronger.

This year, ConnexCares awarded a grant to Wealth Beacon Group Foundation for SHINE Academy, its financial empowerment program. SHINE Academy gives individuals and families tools, guidance, and support to manage their money, build financial habits, and work toward goals like stable housing and homeownership.

Held at Stetson Branch Library in New Haven, the program covers budgeting, credit, banking, saving, and financial planning.

Through SHINE Academy, Wealth Beacon Group Foundation is helping turn financial knowledge into access and opportunity.

This year, ConnexCares is proud to award a grant to Trachouse Cares Foundation in support of their work empowering women and girls through confidence-building, wellness, cultural, and career-focused programs. From World Afro Day to Black Girls Bloom Together and the Pink Project, their work creates supportive spaces for learning, self-expression, and empowerment.

This grant will directly support toward Future Beauty Pro, a pre-apprenticeship experience for girls in New Haven that introduces students to foundational skills while also offering mentorship, career exposure, and support.

Through this program, Trachouse Cares is helping young women build confidence and open doors to future possibilities.
