Standing together and walking with purpose at the Susan G. Komen MORE THAN PINK Walk in Texas.

Led by Michael Burr, Head of Central & Southeast Region, and Irene Pi, Consumer & Business Banking Regional Manager, our associates, family members, and friends joined more than 6,000 walkers to honor breast cancer survivors, raise awareness, and show heartfelt support for two of our very own colleagues.

Across Southern California, rebuilding takes more than hammers and nails — it takes community.

East West Bank volunteers joined our community partner San Gabriel Valley Habitat for Humanity to help rebuild another home for underinsured homeowners in West Altadena. This build is part of the 25 Habitat for Humanity home rebuilds in the burn scar. With community support, SGV Habitat hopes to expand its capacity to rebuild up to 100 homes in the coming years.

Team EWB showed up strong, led by Robert Lo, Head of Commercial Real Estate Banking, Tarek El-Yafi, Managing Director & Head of Global Treasury and Payments, and Athena Chan, Managing Director & Head of Global Sales and Delivery. Robert presented a $50,000 donation on behalf of East West Bank to help advance this long-term recovery effort.

A powerful evening at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York celebrating the work of Liu Wei.

East West Bank is proud to support The Genesis Facade Commission: Liu Wei, Speculation, now on view at The Met Fifth Avenue through June 8, 2027. This marks the artist’s first major museum presentation in the United States.

Our Chairman and CEO Dominic Ng was present for An Evening with Liu Wei, a special conversation featuring the artist and Met curator Lesley Ma. Together, they explored Liu Wei’s monumental facade commission—a suite of four large-scale sculptures that bring together fragments of the urban environment, historical references and bodily forms to invite new ways of seeing and interpreting the world around us.
