🚨 BIG VA LOAN CHANGE! 🇺🇸🏡

This is a HUGE WIN for Veterans!

The VA has updated its guidance in VA Pamphlet 26-7, Chapter 4 regarding non-medical collections.

Previously, lenders could calculate 5% of the outstanding collection balance as a monthly payment.

🔥 NOW: 5% of the outstanding balance ÷ 12 months.

That difference can be MASSIVE when qualifying for a home loan.

Example:
$1,000 in non-medical collections

OLD calculation: $50/month
NEW calculation: $4/month 🤯

That could completely change a Veteran’s debt-to-income ratio and potentially turn a NO into a YES.

If you’re a Veteran who has been told you couldn’t qualify for a VA loan because of collections, it may be time to take another look.

🇺🇸 Veterans deserve every opportunity to use the home loan benefit they’ve earned.
