If you’re planning to buy a home soon, do yourself a favor and avoid these super common mistakes I see every single week:

1️⃣ Looking at homes before getting pre-approved
It’s fun… until you fall in love with a house you can’t qualify for. Start with numbers, not Zillow fantasies.

2️⃣ Making big purchases before closing
New cars, furniture, credit cards, all of these can tank your loan at the finish line.
If it affects your credit or bank account, don’t touch it until AFTER closing.

3️⃣ Checking credit too late
Issues can be fixed, but not when you discover them the week you’re trying to put in an offer.

4️⃣ Focusing only on the monthly payment
Yes, your payment matters.
But the wealth comes from equity, appreciation, and long-term strategy, not just the number on the screen.

5️⃣ Forgetting the extra costs
