Welcome to my personal page where you can discover the possibilities of making your dreams come true. As a former banker in the Wellington region, I have come to realization that there are a lot more people out there that require personal help when it comes to Mortgages, Insurances or Home Loans in the Wellington and Kapiti Coast Region. So then I have set myself on a journey to become the best an

d most accessible mortgage broker in the local community of Wellington and the Kapiti Coast, where I not only live myself personally but also strive to bring the best out of my kids and getting involved personally within the community. What I can do for you:
By running constantly live events I encourage further learning and personal education to all of the people whether you are going to be my friend, my customer or just a folk that is looking to do something about your future, these we do not need to spend hours in traffic and Kapiti Coast traffic can be horrific for a matter of fact, and its all done online and at your convenience. If you liked the webinar and want to set up an appointment face to face we can certainly organize that as well anywhere within the Wellington Region or the Kapiti coast or even better we can just zoom through it, the outcome is always the same, you will come out with the sound advice of what you would need to doing next. If you are shy and did not want to attend my webinars you can always join the discussion via email or I can be reached via Direct Messages on FB, Instagram or Whatsapp

What services do I provide:
- Foremost as the Wellington Mortgage broker who is based in the Kapiti Coast I can do the mortgages and the home loans, what does it actually mean? I can deal with any sort of situation and no job is too hard or too complicated I have seen them all and tackled them all as well
- If you have had a decline or a no-no from the local bank in your Wellington Region area its not necessarily that it is a definite decline, far too often I see the situations that something was just missed out or misunderstood, what I do in these situations? is I review what has actually happened and why your mortgage application in the wellington region has been declined and will work out with you a plan on how to get to where you want to be
- If you are looking at purchasing a land and building your own house whether it is in Kapiti Coast or Wellington Region it is also not a problem as I have gone through the process myself several times so I can walk you through what you need to be aware of and what would the next steps in the journey be
- if you have had some credit issues we can also put a plan how we can get you back on track with the right financial advice, mortgages or home loans in the wellington region for the purposes of achieving your yet another goal

Besides the mortgages and the home loans I can also deal with the biggest elephant in the room which is the protecting your biggest asset - YOU

I am here to review and arrange insurances that will suit your personal requirement at this point of time. Insurances that I provide advice on;
Life - this is pretty simple and straight forward, if you are not here, your loved ones will still be protected and financially secure for a short period of time, giving the recent situation not only in Wellington or Kapiti Region or even New Zealand but the whole world it may be a time to review and get a proper advice on what you are or not covered
Trauma - one of the biggest misconceptions that is coming from the people living not only in the wellington region but also new zealand as general is that ACC will provide the cover for everything and foot the bill whenever something happens to you, unfortunately heart attack or diabetes are not classed as accidents meaning that you will end up in the wellington hospital queue waiting for your time to be seen or not seen for the next few hours, to get more understanding of what the trauma is and how it should be covered we can certainly discuss this option with you in Wellington Region or Kapiti Coast
Income Cover - there are several options in the Income cover and can also provide you with a security if you are one of those unfortunate folks that may end up on the short list of being cut off the job in the Wellington Region or the Kapiti coast, so what it could give you is the temporary income to cover those ongoing bills no matter the weather
Health Insurance - just as the Trauma cover what the basic health insurance will do is take you in front of the queue of the private hospitals in the Wellington Region or best hospitals around the country, if there are no specialists for your situation then you may end up seeing someone from overseas, ofcourse it wont work at the moment but generally speaking it is already better than those long hours in the queue to get your heart operation
Business Insurance - business insurance has a whole heap of various covers in the wellington region is quite an important insurance to have as well as the public liability you would also need to think about the continuation of the business
all of the other insurances in place that you can have a look and discuss with me in the wellington region or kapiti coast as mortgage advisor
Home/Contents/Vehicle Insurance, Pet Insurance, AIRBNB Insurance, Commercial Insurance,

I'm incredibly grateful to share that Alimova Finances / Mike Pero Mortgages Wellington & Kapiti has been recognised in NZ Adviser's Top Brokerages 2026. ❤️

To be included alongside some of New Zealand's leading mortgage advisory businesses is a real honour. The recognition is based on factors such as settlement volumes, productivity, conversion rates, and overall brokerage performance.

What makes this achievement even more meaningful is that it reflects the trust our clients place in us every day.

Whether we're helping someone buy their first home, refinance, invest, or navigate a more complex lending situation, our goal has always been the same — to provide clear advice, genuine support, and solutions that help people move forward with confidence.

This recognition would not be possible without our amazing clients, referral partners, lenders, and the incredible team who work behind the scenes to make it all happen.

A quick conversation can sometimes save you thousands of dollars.

One of my clients recently received a refix offer through online banking and was ready to accept it.

Before locking it in, we had a chat and reviewed her mortgage together.

During the review, we discovered she had built up enough equity since taking out her loan to have her low equity margin removed.

The original online offer was 5.14% for 1 year.

After the review, she was offered 4.69% for the same term.

That's a 0.45% difference.

On a $500,000 loan, that works out to around $2,250 saved every year.

This is exactly why I encourage clients to have a mortgage review before accepting a refix offer.

The reason I'm sharing this is because your circumstances can change over time, and sometimes a review can uncover opportunities that weren't available when your loan was first set up.

If your fixed rate is coming up for renewal, it may be worth having a conversation before clicking accept ❤️

Love starting the week with great conversations 😊

Had the pleasure of sitting down with Heather Knewstubb this morning to record an upcoming episode of That Home Loan Hub podcast.

Heather has an incredible story and so much experience to share, and we covered some really important topics that I know will resonate with a lot of people.

I walked away with plenty of notes, a few new perspectives, and a reminder of why I love having these conversations in the first place.

Looking forward to sharing this episode with you soon 🎙️

And if you haven't listened to some of our other podcast episodes yet, there's a growing library of conversations covering business, leadership, money, mindset, and personal growth.

One of the things I've enjoyed most about starting this podcast is the conversations it has created 🎙️

Every guest brings a different story, a different perspective, and a different way of looking at things.

Some conversations have challenged my thinking. Some have reinforced things I already knew but needed reminding of. And some have simply left me feeling inspired by what people can achieve when they back themselves and keep showing up.

Whether we're talking about business, leadership, money, mindset, or life in general, I always walk away having learned something.

That's probably my favourite part.

Thank you to everyone who has listened, shared an episode, recommended a guest, or sent me a message about the podcast. I genuinely appreciate every bit of support 💛

And if there's someone you think would make a great guest, or if you have a story, experience, or lesson you'd love to share with our community, send me a message. I'd love to hear from you.

Looking forward to many more conversations to come.

I finally got to see the Moeraki Boulders in person 💙

I'd seen photos before, but standing there looking at them up close is something else. They almost don't look real.

For years, Māori legends told stories that these giant round boulders were the remains of eel baskets, gourds, and food baskets washed ashore from the ancestral canoe Arai Te Uru.

Then science comes along and tells us they're around 60 million years old and were formed deep beneath the seabed.

Honestly, I don't know which story I like more.

What I do know is that places like this remind me how much history, culture, and wonder we have right here in New Zealand.

And yes... they really do look like giant dinosaur eggs sitting on the beach 🦕🥚

Have you been to the Moeraki Boulders before?

One thing this trip has reminded me of is that you don't have to spend a lot of money to create great memories with your kids ❤️

Some of their favourite moments haven't been the paid attractions.

It's been collecting shells at the beach, walking along the waterfront, finding a playground, watching the waves, and simply having time together.

As parents, it's easy to feel like we need to constantly spend money to keep kids entertained, especially when travelling.

But honestly, children often find joy in the simplest things.

A new place to explore.
A playground they've never seen before.
A beach to run along.
Time with the people they love.

The best memories don't always come with the biggest price tag ✨

What's one simple activity your kids always love?

I saw a video once that said you're supposed to hold your breath while crossing Rakaia Bridge.

So of course, when we got there, I had to give it a try.
The problem was, the kids had absolutely no idea what I was doing.

The whole way across they kept talking to me, asking questions, and wanting answers while I was sitting there trying very hard not to breathe.

No wonder either — Rakaia Bridge stretches for about 1.7km.

Somehow I still made it across
Although I was definitely ready for a big breath by the other side ❤️

Have you ever done this crossing a bridge? Tell me I'm not the only one who's tried this

A little bit of work in between the adventures ❤️

Travelling with my kids doesn't mean everything completely stops. There are still emails to reply to, clients to help and a few things to keep ticking along behind the scenes.

So in between exploring, I took a moment to catch up on some work with this view in front of me.

Not going to lie... it made answering emails a lot more enjoyable.

One thing I'm really grateful for is being able to stay connected with my clients while also creating memories with my kids.

It's not always about finding perfect balance.

Sometimes it's simply making space for both.

Feeling very grateful for this season of life ✨

There’s something really special about watching kids experience new places for the first time ✨

We spent a few hours at Otago Museum and they absolutely loved it.
Running around excited, pressing every button they could find, asking a million questions and wanting to look at everything properly.

I found myself just following behind them most of the time, watching how happy and curious they were.

Sometimes it’s the simple days like this that end up becoming the most memorable ones ❤️

If you’ve been to Otago Museum before, what was your favourite part?
