For Russell and Rewa, working with local businesses who understand their vision was an important part of bringing one of their most recent projects to life.

🏆 Congratulations to the Farriers Dalefield P1 Men's Hockey Team on winning the 2026 Wellington Hockey Championship!

The Wairarapa-based team secured the title with a 3-1 victory in the final, capping off an outstanding season that included 15 wins from 18 matches and several major trophies along the way.

As a proud sponsor of Dalefield Hockey Club, WBS is delighted to support a team that represents the Wairarapa with such determination, sportsmanship and success.

We're proud to play a small part in supporting local sport and helping talented athletes compete on a bigger stage.

Big congratulations to the Chanel College, Masterton 1st XI Girls Hockey Team, who recently won their division. As sports director at Chanel College, Michelle Potangaroa, said, a fantastic final. 'The girls played with incredible passion, determination, and heart, and we couldn’t be prouder of them.'

Check out The Kitchen Fairies - Wairarapa East Coast new labels for their care package meals! How cool do they look?

A grant from the WBS Charitable Trust helped The Kitchen Fairies fund these new labels, adding a special touch to the care package meals they provide to people in our community.

We're super excited for the Haunui-ā-Nanaia waka ama team, coach Paddy Rimene and the Teamrims Whanau, who head off to Singapore next weekend to compete in the 2026 World Spring Championships. We were lucky enough to have the team visit our office on Monday, where we presented them with new lifejackets as part of their competition uniform.

Well done, team, for making it this far. And good luck! We'll look forward to hearing how you get on over there, on your trip of a lifetime.
