There’s something about September that makes us start thinking about what’s next.

Longer days, warmer weather (hopefully!), and suddenly those thoughts you’ve been having over winter start to feel a little more achievable.

Interest rates are a bit like dating…

Some look great on paper.
Some seem like a good idea at the time.
Some you’re very happy to see the back of. 😂

And just when you think you’ve found “the one” … another rate comes along.

But here’s the thing:

💔 Rates come and go.
💍 The house is the long-term commitment.

So don’t reject your dream home because you’re not totally in love with today’s interest rate.

Date the rate. Marry the house. You can always renegotiate the relationship later.

August has started off busy, and we’re definitely not complaining!

The Palmerston North market continues to be really active, with homes, especially in the first home buyer price range, still in strong demand and selling quickly. It’s been great seeing so many people taking that next step towards home ownership, although it does mean being prepared and ready to move when the right property comes along.

Tauranga has been a little steadier, with homes generally taking a bit longer to sell, giving buyers more breathing space to do their homework and make the right decision.

Every market has its own rhythm, and that’s one of the things we love about what we do - helping people navigate the changes and work out the best approach for their own situation.

Two Advisers, One Conversation.

We'd both spoken to first-home buyers who almost didn't reach out because they assumed the answer would be "no."

We always smile because the answer is the same...

There are no silly questions.
