A Royal Monday 👑

✨ What a busy and varied week it’s been! ✨

Monday started with a fantastic networking session with Wigan & Leigh Hospice, followed by a mountain of admin to get everything organised for the rest of the week. 🙌🏻

Tuesday saw a remortgage enquiry for clients looking to secure a new rate while releasing funds for home improvements. I also helped some lovely first-time buyers with a complex credit history secure an Agreement in Principle, putting them one step closer to their dream home. 🎉

On Wednesday, I worked on another remortgage case involving additional borrowing for home improvements and debt consolidation. More first-time buyers were also equipped with an Agreement in Principle and ready to start their house-hunting journey. 🏠

Thursday was all about helping a lovely young mum secure a mortgage for her next home, where she and her son can create many happy new memories together. ❤️

Today has been spent catching up on admin and arranging life cover for a valued client, helping to ensure their loved ones are protected for the future. 👍🏻

Weeks like this are exactly why I love what I do—every client has a different story, every case is unique, and no two days are ever the same.

🏡 A day in the life of a mortgage broker…

✅ Helped a client with a remortgage to secure a new rate and raise extra funds for home improvements & to consolidate some debts.

🎤 Took a break to attend the Makerfield By-Election Hustings at Winstanley College. Something I’ve never done before and I found it very interesting listening to all the candidates answering the audiences questions.

🔑 Back to work helping first-time buyers secure their Agreement in Principle and take another step towards owning their first home.

Every day is different, but helping people achieve their property goals never gets old.

A great way to end the day! 🏡🎉

Tonight I secured an Agreement in Principle for some lovely first-time buyers who are currently renting and eager to get onto the property ladder. 🤩

Their journey wasn’t without challenges. They had some historic adverse credit, including a few defaults still showing on their credit file, and unfortunately one applicant was made redundant, meaning we needed to wait until their employment situation was settled before proceeding.

Fast forward to today, and their Agreement in Principle is now in place. ✅

Two very happy house hunters are one step closer to owning their first home, and I’m so excited to support them through the next stage of the process. 🎉

Every situation is different, and with the right advice, obstacles don’t always have to mean the end of the road. 🛣️ 👍

What a lovely morning I had at Kilhey Court for a Wigan & Leigh Hospice Networking Event.

Despite needing my big coat (we’re in June 🙄) it was a room full of sunshine and warm welcomes, as always when you’re in the company of the staff of the Hospice. ❤️

Great to catch up with old friends and make new ones, plus listen to Louise Brown, who has recently had a book published all about being Brave, Bold and Brilliant!

Of course I had to buy a copy. 📖 🤩

Now back in my office ready to help some clients who are moving house, secure some new protection for their purchase.

And the suns coming out - yippee! ☀️

From Protection Conversations to Film Premieres…..

Last night I was so privileged to be invited to a screening of ‘The Two of Us’, fresh off its win at the Beverly Hills Film Festival.

The documentary film recounts the mammoth walk of John May & Tim Edwards from Lands End to John O’Groats, raising awareness of Gun & Knife Crime in the UK.

You will remember that Tim’s Daughter, Elle, was shot and killed outside a pub on Christmas Eve 2022.

The film is an emotional rollercoaster, at some points I had tears rolling down my face whilst belly laughing at the same time.

A story of grief, friendship and above all HOPE.

I sincerely HOPE this gets to a streaming service or TV, it’s a phenomenal film. An honour to see it and also to meet Tim, Elles Dad. What a giant among men. ❤️

Another wonderful review came in yesterday from two very valued clients. 🤩

A blended family, living in two rented houses, miles apart, because neither house had room for the other half of them. ☹️

Double the rent, double the bills and double the fuel! 😱

Saving hard for their own place, with houses prices racing ahead of how fast they could save, a new product came to market which I knew would be absolutely perfect for them.

Just a £5000 deposit and they’re now the proud owners of their own home 🙌🏻
