For the first time in four months the average UK house price has increased according to the latest data.
Ian Futcher, financial planner at Quilter, said: “Over recent months, expectations for interest rates have been driven by the stop-start nature of the conflict in the Middle East. That leaves the housing market in something of a holding pattern ahead of the next interest rate decision."
