£10 for a potato?! 🥔😳
Our daughters have been going on and on about visiting Spud Bros, so today we finally gave in and made the trip 🤦🏼♂️
Now, I’ll be honest… when I first heard people were paying nearly £10 for a jacket potato, I thought the world had officially lost the plot. 🤣
It’s a good reminder that people don’t buy based on price alone – they buy based on perceived value, experience and reputation.
You can buy a potato for pennies from the supermarket, but that’s not what people are paying for here.
They’re paying for:
✅ The experience
✅ The brand
✅ The social media buzz
✅ The quality and portion size
✅ Being part of something everyone’s talking about
It’s the same in business. Competing on price alone is a race to the bottom. The businesses that win are the ones that create enough value that people are happy to pay more.
Would I pay £10 for a potato every week? Probably not. 😆
But was it worth seeing what all the fuss was about? Absolutely.
Have you tried Spud Bros yet, or is £10 for a potato a step too far? 🥔👇
