Following valuable feedback from our AGM, we’re beginning a trial of a pop-up Branch presence at Newcombe House, exploring how we can better serve and connect with our members in new ways.

As part of this, our Chatty Café on Wednesday 24 June will be the first opportunity to experience this in action.

We welcomed students from Robert Smyth Academy and Welland Park Academy to our weekly stand-up, they confidently presented the businesses they’ve been developing as part of our partnership with Young Enterprise and their Company Programme.

It’s not easy to step into a room with over 100 colleagues and present with such clarity, energy and professionalism; but they did exactly that. A real testament to their hard work, teamwork and growing confidence. Through opportunities like this, we’re proud to support young people across our community to:

✨ Build essential employability skills
✨ Grow in confidence and communication
✨ Demonstrate resilience and adaptability
✨ Bring their ideas to life in a real-world setting

These experiences go far beyond the classroom. They help students develop the mindset and skills they’ll carry with them into whatever comes next. A huge thank you to the teachers, colleague volunteers and Young Enterprise who make these opportunities possible. And a big well done to the students, we can’t wait to see where your journeys take you next 🚀
