NFU Mutual are proud to announce the launch of the first Code for Countryside Roads 👏

To help guide and advise everyone on how to use rural roads safely, NFU Mutual partnered with the four UK farming unions, The Farm Safety Foundation, The British Horse Society, The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents and The Older Drivers Forum to create a Code for Countryside Roads for everyone to use.

With the number of lives lost on rural roads 70% higher than on urban highways, they hope the Code can help to tackle the tragic and disproportionate loss of life on the UK’s rural roads.

This week, we will share information about the Campaign on behalf of the Farm Safety Foundation.

This is the Farm Safety Foundation’s 8th annual Mind Your Head campaign, which will run from the 10th-14th of February.

What is Mind Your Head? This campaign aims to break the stigma surrounding poor mental health in the farming sector and to acknowledge the current pressures faced by farmers. Furthermore, it will highlight how this stigma affects farmers' mental well-being and their ability to farm safely.
