Top Winter Tips for Arborists ❄️🌳

• Clear all snow from your vehicle before driving including the roof, windows and bonnet. Loose snow can be hazardous for you and other road users.

• Reduce your speed in icy conditions. Stopping distances on snow and ice can be up to 10 times longer than normal!

• Winter weather itself won’t invalidate your insurance - but leaving a vehicle running, unlocked or with the keys inside could leave you uninsured if it’s stolen.

• Keep winter essentials in every vehicle: blankets, warm clothing, de-icer, ice scraper, shovel, high-vis jacket and a reflective warning triangle.

• Plan ahead. Allow extra time for journeys and site access. Be sure to reassess conditions throughout the day.

Our Arborisk Team had the pleasure of attending the Valley Project in Bradford as a team volunteering day! 🌱

The charity has a special place in Bradford providing a safe outdoor space for children and young people in the Holme Wood area. The community led initiative seeks to tackle inequality in the area and prevent children from becoming isolated.

We worked together to prepare the shipping container for painting and the old structures were disassembled to create room for a new area for the children to play in. We would like to say a massive thank you to The Valley Project for allowing us to give something back to the community!
