Meet The Team | Mark Shanta - Director 🏡

Mark is an experienced landlord having owned and managed his own residential portfolio in Glasgow over the last 15 years. He has bought a number of properties in that period and although some have been renovated to sell or “flipped” the majority have remained in his portfolio. He has experience of all types of properties from new builds to tenements and flats to houses. Having viewed, analysed and offered on hundreds of properties over the last decade, his knowledge of the Glasgow property rental market is extensive and expert.

In June 2015 Mark started Shanta Letting to manage not only his own portfolio but other landlords with the goal of “treating each property as if it were his own”. The business has grown at a fast but steady rate, with Feb 2019 seeing the launch of estate agency sales and the rebrand to Shanta Residential.

Mark is proud to have partnered and welcomed East Renfrewshire Larder into the office as their new permanent home. We are working together to help support those within East Renfrewshire who need it and continue the amazing work they already to, delivering roughly 40-60 food packages per week.

Outside of work Mark is kept busy with his two children, Sophie and Blair who both go to Giffnock Primary School. He has a love of all things sports and fitness and is a keen footballer with 7 Scotland Amateur caps. The last few years have seen Mark take on various running challenges for Downs Syndrome Awareness Scotland, to support his Godson Ted.

Mark prides himself as being transparent, reliable and contactable and would welcome any enquiry or conversation with regards to property or the East Renfrewshire Larder.
