Mortgage Term of the Day 💫

Today's term is Fixed Rate.

A fixed rate mortgage means your interest rate stays the same for a set period of time, this means that your monthly payments won’t change.

For example, a 2-year fixed rate means your rate stays the same for the 2-year deal.

Hopefully these little explanations make some of the mortgage jargon a bit easier to understand 🤍

The Bank of England has held the base rate at 3.75% 🔒

That doesn’t necessarily mean that mortgage rates will stay the same, or start to decrease.

Lenders have already increased their rates over the last few weeks, so it’s always worth keeping an eye on the market and reviewing your options🤍
