We always start our advisory process with our Tech and Systems Assessment. Before we can see where your leaks may be coming from, we have to look at your operational friction. This means, we are deep diving into your QBO, Jane, AP/AR, and payroll systems. When your systems aren't working, this is when your administration increases and you get a delay in reports.

When you open a business, there are so many decisions to make, including what bank you should use. There are some banks that do not connect into your QuickBooks online and it will cost you more in fees to use a bank that does not connect. And more importantly, it will cost you your time in waiting to make any decision because your financials won’t be ready for probably six weeks.

During Phase 1 of our advisory process—the Tech & Systems Assessment—we compared their Chart of Accounts against their Jane App data. The mismatch was severe. You cannot find your profit leaks if your data is a mess, so we restructured their Chart of Accounts into clean, departmentalized buckets for total financial clarity.

Once we had deep analytics, we tackled the administrative friction. They were losing money and time on e-transfers, so we moved them to a dedicated payables platform.

Finally, we integrated their payroll. They had been doing manual journal entries and spending Monday nights manually running payroll. We treat manual data entry as a waste of time!!
