We attended National Bank’s broker channel launch event at the Fairmont Royal York last night, and it was a fantastic evening connecting with industry professionals and learning more about the opportunities ahead.

It’s exciting to see another financial institution expanding into the broker channel and bringing more options, flexibility, and solutions to better serve our clients.

Looking forward to building new relationships, exploring the programs being introduced, and continuing to provide clients with the best possible mortgage solutions.

Bond yields are down which means fixed mortgage rates are trending down too and that’s great news for buyers, refinancers, and anyone coming up for renewal.

Here are some of today’s available rates:

Insured Purchases or Switches (less than 20 percent down payment)
 3 year fixed 3.59 percent 5 year fixed 3.79 percent 5 year variable 3.44 percent

Insurable Purchases (20 percent or more down payment, max 25 year amortization, property value under 1 million)
 3 year fixed 3.59 percent 5 year fixed 3.89 percent 5 year variable 3.60 percent

The Bank of Canada dropped its rate again by another .25%!

If you have a variable rate mortgage your rate will automatically decrease.

If your variable rate is adjustable your mortgage payment will go down.
If you have a static variable product your payment will stay the same but more will go towards the principle instead of interest.

If you have a fixed rate mortgage there will be no change.

If you have any lines of credits - your rate and minimum payment will decrease.

Back from an incredible 4 days in Ottawa at the mortgage conference.
 It was amazing connecting with our lenders, fellow mortgage professionals, and making new relationships along the way.

This industry is all about people and we truly value the relationships we’re building with everyone in it.

From lender events to insightful sessions, it was a full schedule and we’re definitely feeling it today.
 But we’re back, recharged with new energy, and ready to get back to the hustle!
