The annual Illumination of the Sharon Temple National Historic Site & Museum remains one of our most popular local events. Historically it has been held on the first Friday of September each year since 1831, its purpose was to celebrate success of the community's harvest.

It's an opportunity to see the Temple fully illuminated with beeswax candles lighting the entire first storey, while being treated to musical entertainment and experiencing the space as it was meant to be enjoyed.

This year the event has been extended to include a Pig Roast, Food Trucks, Market Brewery & more starting at 4:00 PM. https://newmarket.snapd.com/events/view/1351516
