Is it worth it to refinance?

Short answer: Yes, but not always!

In this scenario it would be worth it to refinance, even with paying a penalty. It depends on your goals and whether you’re looking to lower interest, have extra cash flow, lower your unsecured debts etc.

P.s I have a toddler in daycare and will be sick for the foreseeable future so please excuse my stuffy nose 😂

3 things I DON’T care about as your mortgage agent ❌

To be clear, I DO care about these things in regards to your mortgage application. However, so many times I find clients are hesitant to give me the information that I need to do their mortgage because they’re embarrassed about their situation.

There is absolutely no need to be embarrassed, it’s my job! I don’t judge, and trust me I’ve seen it all. I don’t care if you dont make a 6 figure income - as long as you’re happy and comfortable, I’m happy! I don’t care if you have a large amount of credit card debt, let’s fix it! I don’t care how much money you spend at the LCBO, Uber Eats, or whatever else! That’s your business and again, if you’re happy I’m happy!

I’m here to help you with your mortgage goals, not judge you!

The Bank of Canada’s interest rate announcement came out this morning, and if you have a variable rate mortgage or revolving credit that is based off of prime rate - this is for you!

Prime rate has decreased by 0.25% bringing prime to 4.45% 🎉
