Long lunch with Aimee Templeman today and I walked away reminded how good it is to sit across from someone who genuinely gets it.
Aimee's work through The Continuum Pathway lines up so naturally with what I do at Matilda Tree. We spend our days supporting women through big life transitions, just from different angles, and every conversation we have sparks something new.

Single parents in Australia are navigating a housing system that wasn't built for them. I want to change the conversation around that, with real data and real voices.
I'm running the Single Parent Housing & Financial Wellbeing Survey 2026. It asks about housing affordability, the cost of living, awareness of government schemes, experiences with banks and brokers, and the mental health impact of it all.
Findings will be published as a free report later this year and used to develop further free resources for single parents.
It takes 5-6 minutes. It's completely anonymous. And your voice genuinely matters here.

Building an app as a non-tech founder is genuinely wild.

At any given moment my code is being honked, schlepped, misted, or skedaddled.
I don't know what any of this means.
But somehow at the end of it I have a working product.
Three apps in. Still no idea what honking is. Wouldn't change a thing.

Unpopular opinion: a lot of what gets sold as urgent financial advice is just fear with a suit on.

Missing the market. Rising rates. Someone else getting the house.

I've watched clients make decisions they regret because someone made them feel like they had no time to think.

You always have time to make a good decision.
Anyone who tells you otherwise is not working in your interest.
