I’m incredibly proud to have been recognised as a finalist for Regional Mortgage Broker of the Year.

To be representing the Sunshine Coast at this level means a lot. 🌴

Although didn’t receive the award today, The Sunshine Coast has an incredible business community, and I’m proud to call it home and to represent our region amongst some of the best in the industry. What we’re building here is something I’m genuinely proud of, and being recognised on a broader stage makes the journey even more rewarding.

The RBA just called it: cash rate stays put at 4.35% 📌

No hike yesterday, which after three rises this year is a bit of breathing room. But let's be straight, a hold isn't a cut. Your repayments aren't dropping off the back of this one.

Here's the bit most people miss. When everyone's watching the headline number, the smart move is checking your own loan. Rates have shifted, lenders have shifted, and plenty of people are sitting on a deal that stopped being competitive months ago.

If you haven't had your loan reviewed since the last hike, now's the time. Might be nothing. Might be a few grand a year. You won't know till you look 👀

The RBA hands down its next call next Tuesday, and a hike is genuinely on the table this time 👀

Rough maths: a 0.25% rise is about an extra $15 a month per $100k of loan. On a $1m loan, that's around $150 a month.

Whichever way it lands, the smart move is the same - know where your rate sits. When was the last time anyone actually checked yours?
