Hello from Egypt! We are currently travelling and I thought it might be fun to share some facts about the housing in the Countries we visit. We had the pleasure of staying in Zamalek and Cairo which are both central to the City and then Luxor, where the Valley of the Kings is located. Egypt's lovely people mainly live in apartments which can be purchased from between 3-12 million Egyptian pounds. (AUD: $100,000 - $375,000). The average wage in Egypt is 8-10,000 Egyptian pounds per month (AUD: $251 - $314). Whilst mortgages are available, most will lend money from family members in order to purchase a home.
