Happy Monday,

Looks like there were a few notable upgrades today: Trade Desk (TTD) by Wedbush, Check Point Software (CHKP) by Bank of America, and Advanced Micro Devices (AMD).

Overall, the markets are down about 15 points across the board. Seems like profit-taking to me. But there are still a few bucking the trend today, like CoreWeave (SCWV), up 6%—yes, that is correct—Robinhood (HOOD), up 4%, and Lumentum Holdings (LITE), up 3.25%.

Glad to have them in my portfolio.

Good Monday.

Well, in my opinion, the markets as a whole still suck. Why? I hope we can all agree the fighting in Iran and the price of oil are the major factors.

Where do I see things going? In my opinion, I can see more downside — how much more? Well, another 3–4% in the near term. The market is trying to price in the effects of everything that is occurring. However, since we have no precedent to refer to, it is hard to determine a safe level to initiate new buys.

I have my stop losses in place just in case. I am not getting overzealous to spend the cash I am sitting on yet. I will wait for some kind of confirmation before I put new money to work.
