We’re excited to welcome Alexander Wagner to Slocum Insurance as our newest Account Representative! 👏

Alexander is a licensed insurance agent who is passionate about helping people protect what matters most. He takes pride in building genuine relationships, understanding each client’s unique needs, and helping individuals and families find insurance solutions that provide confidence and peace of mind.

For Alexander, insurance shouldn’t feel complicated or impersonal. His goal is to make the process simple, personal, and focused on what’s best for each client every step of the way. 🏡🚗🛡️

Outside of work, Alexander enjoys listening to music, playing golf, and spending time doing the things he loves. He brings that same enthusiasm, energy, and dedication to his work and is committed to making a positive difference for the people he serves.

The 4th Annual Slocum Shootout is in the books.

On Monday, October 5, 112 golfers in 28 foursomes filled Potowomut Golf Club for a day of golf, food and good company. Teams landed the Air Cannon on the green. Santino and JT and many others walked off with bottles at Clink ‘n Sink. And Mark Sullivan won the $5,000 raffle on his birthday!

🔥 Fire Prevention Week is October 4–10, and it's the perfect nudge to give your home a quick safety check.

🔔 Test every smoke alarm, and replace any older than 10 years.

🧺 Clean the dryer lint trap after every load, and have the vent duct cleared regularly.

♨️ Keep space heaters 3 feet from anything that can burn, and turn them off before bed.

We're swapping our desks for the fairway to host our 4th Annual Slocum Shootout at Potowomut Golf Club, a Slocum Cares event.

Slocum Cares does this event every year to raise money for two great community non-profits and this year 100% of net proceeds will be split between Saint Elizabeth Community and Operation Stand Down RI.

The 4th Annual Slocum Shootout is next Monday, and there's still room on the course.

Golfers: a foursome is $1,000 and covers lunch, food and drinks on the course, games, raffles, live music, and a 4 PM wrap-up with passed apps, drinks, and winners. It's a scramble, so every level of player fits right in.

Businesses: sponsorships are open right up through event day. The Cigar Station, Air Cannon, and Clink 'n Sink are still available, along with tee signs at $175 and plenty of other ways to get involved.

100% of proceeds go to our partners, Operation Stand Down Rhode Island and The Saint Elizabeth Community.

A few minutes of prep today:
✔️ Clear gutters and point downspouts 5+ ft from the house
✔️ Test your sump pump and clear drains
✔️ Bring in or tie down outdoor furniture
✔️ Take down dead or hanging branches
✔️ Run generators outdoors only, away from windows
✔️ Take a quick video walk-through of your home. Instant inventory!
