In 1993, Chuck and Karen Bratt turned their love for dogs into a small business. They founded K-9 University, Inc., a doggy daycare and training facility in Garland, TX. By 2015, they had outgrown their facility, and a better space became available in close proximity to their existing location.

Meet Senior Servicing Specialist, Anthony Smeester! 🌟

Anthony has been with GTCC for over two years, bringing a background in accounting and a passion for serving others. One thing that might surprise you? He enjoys crocheting handmade gifts for friends and family!

One of Anthony's favorite parts of his role is being a trusted resource for small business owners who aren't sure where to turn. Helping answer their questions and guide them through the process is what makes his work especially meaningful.

When he's not at the office, you'll likely find Anthony leading his Life Group at church, serving the Longview community through homeless outreach, training for his next race, woodworking, or enjoying a game of pickleball.

Anthony's heart for service - both inside and outside of GTCC - makes him a valued member of our team, and we're grateful to have him on board!

Meet Closing Manager, Rhonda Goldthorn! 🌟

Rhonda has been with GTCC for an impressive 24 years! You may be surprised to learn that Rhonda also has 12 years of experience in Law Enforcement. And yes, she keeps our office in line.

Though she has served in a few different roles during her tenure with GTCC, Rhonda is enjoying her current role for many reasons - but most importantly, getting to share in the excitement with borrowers as we get their loan over the finish line!

Outside of the office, Rhonda enjoys spending time with family and friends, and especially enjoys being outdoors - on the lake, at the beach, relaxing by the fire - you name it!

Rhonda is a true asset to our team, and we're grateful for her expertise and partnership!

We had a great time supporting Next Step Community Solutions at their ‘Battle of the Brains’ Trivia Luncheon today! Team members (from GTCC and Lending Avenue) and friends gathered to represent at the event and attempted to show off their vast knowledge. Though we did not come home with a win, we had a great time supporting a wonderful cause.
