Spoofing scams aren’t always easy to spot. A fake email address, look-alike URL or small change to a familiar website can be enough to make something fraudulent look legitimate.

Take a few extra seconds before you click:

✔️ Double check email addresses and URLs.
✔️ Look for subtle misspellings or changes.
✔️ Be cautious of unexpected links or urgent requests.

When in doubt, don’t use the link in the message. Go directly to the company’s website or contact them using a number you know is legitimate.

Big potential can start with one meaningful connection.

At The Big Breakfast, we joined Big Brothers Big Sisters of Rhode Island in recognizing the mentors and supporters who show up, build confidence, and help young people see what’s possible. Congratulations to this year's honorees and 60 years of BIG impact!

Phishing scams can look convincing at first glance. Look closely for generic greetings, spelling mistakes, unusual requests and unfamiliar contact information before you click.
