Mostly an uneventful day but rates DID drop the past two days. Tomorrow the Fed is expected to announce no rate cuts but only tomorrow will tell. And regardless of what they announce, mortgage rates are not directly effected by the Fed rate.

Rates continue to rise with the conflict with Iran enters it's third week. Attacks on oil tankers in the Strait of Hormuz is pushing oil prices up, effecting global markets and mortgage rates. Barry Habib and Mortgage News Daily both expect uncertainty in the coming weeks.

Rates are rising due to the conflict in Iran. Oil tankers are stuck in the Persian Gulf fearful of Iran's threat to attack any ship passing through the Strait of Hormuz.
