We have officially begun the start of the Great Holiday Slide. We will start sliding on Halloween and before we know it, we'll hit the ground wondering what just happened and it will be 2027.
I'm a big believer in New Year's resolutions. And if I would have written mine down earlier this year, I'd grade myself on how I was doing with them this year. But I didn't, so I don't remember exactly what they were. I'm pretty sure they had something to do with hard work, dieting, exercising, and making sure the referees ignored certain interferences. But who knows?
One thing I do know is that when I do set resolutions, even on my best years, the Holidays kind of blow them apart. I was already given my first bag of candy at a networking event this week. It's sitting in the lobby of my office. Just waiting for someone to open it and eat the M&M's inside.
It's been one day and so far so good.
The first Holiday is by far the strangest. Christmas celebrates the birth of Christ. Thanksgiving celebrates really family and friends. Halloween celebrates...
