Joey Gazda: Financial Advisor RICP As a Financial Advisor at Mutual of Omaha, I create personalized strategies to help clients with retirement planning, risk management, and wealth preservation.

Let's build your financial future. With a diverse background spanning from politics to marketing, I bring a unique perspective to the world of finance. Originally hailing from Elkhorn High School, where I excelled in both football and baseball, I later pursued higher education at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. In 2005, I proudly graduated with a degree in history, setting the stage for a dynamic career journey. Post-graduation, my path led me into the realm of politics, traversing the state of Nebraska alongside various candidates. Following this, I spent 13 years honing my skills in the marketing field as an account executive rising to sales manager. However, amidst the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, I discerned a calling for a career shift towards a field where I could make a meaningful difference in people’s lives. As a financial advisor, I specialize in guiding clients through the intricacies of protecting their family’s future with insurance products while strategically building wealth for retirement through personalized plans. My ultimate drive as an advisor is the ability to unravel complex financial concepts, ensuring clients navigate their financial journey with clarity and ease. It is my goal to help build a plan that is clear and manageable while working together. Holding licenses in Life and Health insurance, along with a Series 6, 63, 65, and Securities Industry Essentials certification, I am equipped to serve clients not only in the Omaha area but also across multiple states. Whether face-to-face or via virtual meetings, my goal remains consistent: to help individuals and families across the country achieve their financial goals. Outside of the financial realm, I proudly wear the title of “girl dad” to Brynn, Brooklyn, and Hadley – my greatest motivators. You’ll often find me cheering them on at show choir events, dance recitals, soccer games (where I also serve as coach), and various school activities. In my downtime, I channel my passion for sports as a devoted supporter of the Nebraska Huskers and the Buffalo Bills. Whether you’re planning for the future, navigating life changes, or simply seeking clarify in your financial journey, I’m here to guide you every step of the way. Together, let’s turn your financial goals into reality. Disclosures: This is not an offer or solicitation in any jurisdiction where we are not authorized to do business 1. Nearly half of Americans are waiting for the economy to feel steadier before making a money move. Totally understandable, but the wait can leave the people and things you care about a step behind.

In a new ConsumerAffairs feature, Nate Hobson, vice president of sales, Advisor Network at Mutual of Omaha, shared a reminder worth holding onto: “You don’t need a lot of extra money to start making progress.” A small emergency fund. If you just welcomed a new baby — congratulations! This is the perfect time to review your family’s financial protection. First, check your life insurance coverage to make sure your loved ones would be okay if something unexpected happened. Second, update your will and guardianship. And third, start saving early for college — even small monthly amounts can make a difference. Every family’s situation is unique, but getting these basics in place can give you peace of mind.
