Last week, FNIC team members traveled to Washington, DC to attend the 2026 Capitol Conference with the National Association of Benefits and Insurance Professionals Nebraska (NABIP) chapter.

As NABIP board members representing the Omaha and Lincoln chapters, Molly Stickels and Mike Gray joined professionals from across Nebraska to meet with our senators and members of Congress. It was a great opportunity to talk about issues that directly affect employers, employees, and the benefits professionals who support them.

Some of the key topics discussed included:
• Healthcare price transparency
• Evolving ACA market dynamics
• Recent Medicare and CMS changes affecting consumers and the agent community

As we move through 2026, one thing is clear. Agriculture continues to operate in a dynamic environment.

At FNIC, we are here to help you navigate it.

Markets are shifting. Acreage decisions are influencing supply expectations. Export demand has become less predictable. Weather interruptions and tighter planting windows are increasing the financial impact of timing.

In this kind of environment, risk management cannot be reactive.

You need clarity around your revenue exposure. You need structure in your crop insurance decisions. And you need a trusted advisor who understands how market movement, production variability, and coverage strategy all connect.

That is where strong partnerships matter most.

If you are reevaluating your 2026 risk strategy, we are here to help.
