Many people think The Legacy Connection is just an insurance agency.
(I mean, ā€œInsurance Groupā€ is in our name!)

But what we really do is support, educate, and understand what our clients and their families are going through.

That’s why events like the Alzheimer's Association networking and education event we attended tonight are so important to us. It’s not just about insurance, it’s about building connections, finding resources, and learning how we can better serve the people who trust us.

Whether a family is navigating an Alzheimer’s diagnosis, planning for retirement, caring for a loved one, or preparing for the unexpected, we want to be a resource they can turn to.

Because at the end of the day, it’s not just about policies. It’s about people.

Don’t be mad at me if your premium is high! šŸ˜…

Life insurance rates are based on your age, health, and habits. The longer you wait, the more likely your premium is to increase right along with you.

That’s why locking in coverage while you’re younger and healthier can save you money and give you peace of mind for years to come.

It’s 7:44 PM and I’m just now leaving the office.

This story is a little longer than my usual posts, but if you’ll bear with me, there’s an important message behind it.

A client found me on Facebook last week and reached out for help with life insurance. We scheduled a call today at 5:00 PM, and by the time we finished, it was 7:27 PM.

Why did it take over two hours?

Because life insurance isn’t about picking the biggest policy. It’s about finding the right one.

At 54 years old, it would have been easy to focus on a large term policy. But after exploring all of the options, including an IUL that ultimately wasn’t a fit, we took a step back and talked about what really mattered.

The goal wasn’t simply leaving money behind. It was making sure their spouse, children, and grandchild wouldn’t be burdened with final expenses and difficult financial decisions when they’re gone.

So instead of focusing on the largest death benefit to lead instant generational wealth, we focused on the solution that best matched their goals, budget, and long-term needs.

This is why I never rush conversations. Every family is different, and every recommendation should be tailored to the people it’s meant to protect.

The best part? When you take the time to truly serve people instead of just selling a policy, they remember it. That’s how relationships are built, trust is earned, and referrals naturally follow.

Tonight wasn’t just about helping one family. It was about making sure they had peace of mind knowing their loved ones would be protected from the immediate financial burden that comes with losing someone they love.

That’s what matters most.

A week filled with daily training webinars, mentoring, onboarding new agents, client appointments, and keeping up with mom life… it’s been nonstop.

Some of us took the brunt of it all. It’s hard being an agency owner, but we love her!

Don’t mind the mess, but hear my words. Finding the right policy for a client sometimes means working outside of normal ā€œbusiness hours.ā€

Today started with an early hair appointment, followed by a two-hour meeting at the office. After that, I helped a client understand how to use their portal, then had my new client appointment. We kept a discussing options and ended up continuing our call from my car talking through options all the way until I pulled into the school parking lot.

Then it was time for my favorite job: being a Mom.

I got to watch my son’s parent preview for the upcoming marching band season (Go Dragons!), which was absolutely worth every minute.

Afterward, it was home to feed the kiddo and right back into my home office.

Being an independent broker isn’t always a typical 9-to-5 job, but that’s one of the things I love most about it. My clients aren’t just policy numbers. They’re real people with busy schedules, families, concerns, and goals. Sometimes helping them means making time whenever they need it.

No pressure. No call center. Just real conversations and finding coverage that fits their life and budget.
