Itās 7:44 PM and Iām just now leaving the office.
This story is a little longer than my usual posts, but if youāll bear with me, thereās an important message behind it.
A client found me on Facebook last week and reached out for help with life insurance. We scheduled a call today at 5:00 PM, and by the time we finished, it was 7:27 PM.
Why did it take over two hours?
Because life insurance isnāt about picking the biggest policy. Itās about finding the right one.
At 54 years old, it would have been easy to focus on a large term policy. But after exploring all of the options, including an IUL that ultimately wasnāt a fit, we took a step back and talked about what really mattered.
The goal wasnāt simply leaving money behind. It was making sure their spouse, children, and grandchild wouldnāt be burdened with final expenses and difficult financial decisions when theyāre gone.
So instead of focusing on the largest death benefit to lead instant generational wealth, we focused on the solution that best matched their goals, budget, and long-term needs.
This is why I never rush conversations. Every family is different, and every recommendation should be tailored to the people itās meant to protect.
The best part? When you take the time to truly serve people instead of just selling a policy, they remember it. Thatās how relationships are built, trust is earned, and referrals naturally follow.
Tonight wasnāt just about helping one family. It was about making sure they had peace of mind knowing their loved ones would be protected from the immediate financial burden that comes with losing someone they love.
Thatās what matters most.
