Yesterday, I had the privilege of presenting alongside two of my business partners, Dr. Nelson Robinson and Sam Holt, at the Austin Police Retired Officers Association (APROA) monthly luncheon.

Dr. Robinson and Sam spoke about the value of having a great insurance agent in your corner, and I shared how we help our clients ensure they never run out of money, and in many cases, how they can enjoy spending more on what they love most in retirement. 💰✨

Big thanks to the APROA for welcoming us. The BBQ was outstanding. I wish I could remember the name of the restaurant so I could give them a shoutout! 🍖🔥

The best part of my business is letting my friends/customers know that they can accomplish the goal that they have been working on for years!

I met with two of my favorite people in the world earlier today and was able to do just that.

The first conversation was with a lady that I've known for years. She has been working hard to launch her career as a Real Estate Agent so she can "retire" from her 9-5. After working hard to build her savings and pay off debt, I gave her the green light to pull the trigger and dive in headfirst!

My second conversation was with a guy that I have been friends with since kindergarten. I was able to show him that by his hard work that he is financially able to buy his first home (and dodge PMI as well).

"I'm worried that I won't get approved for coverage." I hear this all the time from my life insurance and mortgage protection clients. I just had a client get approved at a preferred rating without a physical and medical records.

I’ve been a fan of Dave Ramsey ever since Jason Rogers played his radio show in the van on the way to a Cross Country meet with Concordia University Texas. After years of thinking about it, I finally pulled the trigger and joined the Ramsey Solutions SmartVestor Pro program.

A few of the many concepts that I learned from Dave Ramsey are:

🔒 Making sure that you and your family are protected from whatever life may throw at you (building savings and having ample (life, health, P&C, etc.) insurance).

💳 Paying off debt so that you can use your income to build your “buildings,” not Visa’s “buildings.”

💸 Investing early and often and always having a plan to get to where you’re wanting to go.

This year has been a great one! Here’s how the practice ranks YTD amongst all Personal Financial Representatives that have joined Allstate since January 2023.

- Total Production: 5th
- New Investment Assets: 3rd
- Life Insurance Production: 7th

2023 was a year of transition. There were good days and there were not-so-good days. A lot of things did not go as planned at the start of 2023, but luckily I was able to pivot for the better…much better.

Transition and business are hard. Having great friends, clients, and business partners make both so much better. I appreciate y’all for the trust and support!
