🔥 Fun Fact Friday 🔥

Did you know that when people used to pay off their mortgage… they would literally burn it?

Back in the late 1800s through the mid-1900s, families would host a “mortgage burning” celebration once their home was officially paid in full. The lender would mark the note satisfied, friends and neighbors would gather, and the document would go into the fire as a symbol of being completely debt-free.

It wasn’t just paperwork — it was freedom, security, and a huge milestone worth celebrating.

Before coaching middle school wrestling here in Indiana, my wife and I coached high school wrestling together in California!

In 2018, our girls’ wrestling team won the San Diego Section CIF Championship!
