One of my favorite events of the year, the annual Cigar Dinner at the Madison Club. A great collaboration of my favorite places, the Tasting Room and Madison Club. An absolute treat from Chef Adam and great cigar pairings from the owner of Tasting Room Jason Smith! Thank you to the clients and friends that attended, we had an absolutely perfect night.

I was fortunate enough to adopt a dog this past week. Everyone meet Mildred….aka Millie. She is a sweet 7 year old bulldog who's had a pretty tough life. Don't worry, this little lady is retired now and living the good life. She loves treats, belly rubs, and always being under dad's feet. She hates walks and heat so the couch and air conditioning is where you'll find her. She is a retired momma now, but does plan to occasionally make her way to the office to "help" dad. A special thank you to all of those that work or volunteer with animal rescues. It's so important to give these dogs good homes and a better life!

Did you know that Alzheimer's disease disproportionately affects women? I had the privilege to attend the Women's Health and Alzheimer's Symposium in Milwaukee. Thank you to Direct Supply for providing the space and support for this important event. It was a very educational event and provided much needed hope in this fight. Big things are on the horizon as we continue to advance for treatments and a cure for Alzheimer's!

A special thank you to Jim Lowery and the Pacific Life Foundation for their support to non-profits and particularly the $5,000 VIP grant awarded to the Alzheimer's Association. Jim lost his mother to this horrible disease two years ago and understands the challenges we face in this uphill battle. Support from advocates such himself and the companies that back this work truly help move the needle to a word without Alzheimer's. Thank you again!

Last week was a great outing for Our Lady Queen of Peace school. Thank you to Ryan Schmitz and Hub Realty for the invite and thank you to the clients and my intern for making me look good on the course. Highest score wins in golf right? My golf scores would be great if I were in the NBA.

This past weekend I opened for and introduced Jay Leno for a comedy benefit for Boys and Girls Club of Dane County. I'm so grateful for the opportunity and the experience. A shout out to Lindsay Stephan and the Boys and Girls Club staff and leadership for raising over $700,000 for the children of this community! They do incredible work!
