Nearly half of WYCUP alumni surveyed said they’ve helped launch a local or regional emerging leader program that didn’t previously exist.

That’s a ripple effect worth celebrating.

WYCUP—World Young Credit Union Professionals—is a program of the Worldwide Foundation for Credit Unions that connects emerging credit union leaders worldwide through learning, networking and leadership development.

WOCCU’s work on responsible AI is reaching the global regulatory conversation.

Over the summer, WOCCU’s Advocacy team responded to a Financial Stability Board (FSB) consultation on responsible AI practices, drawing on WOCCU’s 2025 white paper, Navigating the Ethical Landscape of Artificial Intelligence in Credit Unions.

On 15 October, the FSB published its final report, Sound Practices for Responsible Adoption of Artificial Intelligence. The report outlines 12 practices for AI governance and risk management throughout the AI lifecycle, encouraging financial institutions’ boards and senior management to strengthen their frameworks.

This is why WOCCU thought leadership matters. By bringing credit union-specific research and perspectives into global policy discussions, WOCCU helps ensure the movement has a voice as the future of responsible AI in financial services takes shape.

In 2024, Americans lost $16 billion to internet frauds, according to FBI.

As October is Cybersecurity Awareness Month in the United States, WOCCU shares the resources that can help credit unions educate their members and staff.

Our member, America’s Credit Unions, is helping credit unions spread the word about the importance of cybercsecurity hygiene with a free, customizable Cybersecurity Awareness Toolkit developed by the League System. It includes ready-to-use social media content, member emails, newsletter articles, branch posters, scam prevention resources and a four-week campaign plan.
