Tip:
Small cracks under 1/8 inch wide can typically be filled with a lightweight spackling compound, sanded smooth, and repainted. Wider cracks or those running at diagonal angles from door and window corners may indicate settling and deserve a professional eye.
😉Bonus Tip:
After patching, always prime the repaired spot before applying your finish coat. Skipping primer causes a dull, flat patch that shows through even matching paint.

A fresh coat of exterior paint now will seal out moisture before the heavy summer rains do damage to the wood and siding underneath.

😎Bonus Tip:
Choose a paint with a built-in mildewcide for any shaded or north-facing areas of your home. Knoxville's humidity makes those spots especially prone to mildew growth through the summer months.
