Last week was a memorable evening as our owner, Andy Shafer, was honored by the McNabb Center and Helen Ross McNabb Foundation at the 2026 Spirit Award Dinner.

The Spirit Award recognizes individuals who have supported the organizations’ efforts and worked to improve lives in our community. Anyone who knows Andy knows that giving back to the community has always been important to him. To see him recognized by an organization that has such a meaningful impact across East Tennessee made the evening especially special for all of us at Shafer Insurance Agency.

Our Lunch Club made its way back to South Knoxville today, this time with a stop at Earl's Knoxville. Good food, good conversation, and the weather had cooled off enough that it was a nice excuse to sit outside for a bit. We always enjoy supporting the great local spots around town.
